Come Together
A Collaborative Education Event

Join ARROW, ATHICA, Georgia Museum of Art, Lyndon House Arts Center,  and Treehouse Kid & Craft for Come Together, the first in a series of collaborative educational events. Children will have the opportunity to learn about the current exhibition at ATHICA, Center, and to make crafts that explore the idea of community.

Each organization will present an activity at ATHICA geared towards a specific age group:

13 year olds - ARROW - Staycation: an exploration of our Athens - featuring a large interactive paper map to which children will be able to add stamps of various things like homes, local landmarks, cars, trees, bikes, people, etc.

46 year olds - Treehouse Kid & Craft - Supervised by Kristen Bach and Lindsay Troutman, participants will be wearing their heart on their sleeves, making stenciled patches for themselves and to distribute around the community.

710 year olds - Georgia Museum of Art - GMOA staff and volunteers will be on hand to help kids create a sidewalk mural celebrating community. Kids can work together to create a work of art showing the people, places and things that make their community special!

11 and up - Lyndon House Arts Center - Kids will make comic strips based on the theme of community and inspired by the exhibition.

ATHICA will lead walk and talks of the exhibitions at 11:30 AM and 1 PM for kids of all ages.

Pizza supplied by our generous sponsor Dime4Dollar.
