Lizzie Z. Saltz, ATHICA curator,
at the Nurture Walk n' Talk last January
Ben Emanuel, Guest Essayist
Come on out for an informal hour with Deluge exhibition Guest Essayist Ben Emanuel and Curator and ATHICA Director Lizzie Zucker Saltz.

The two will speak about the works in the exhibition and their relationship to climate change and the politics of land management, focusing on the Atlanta floods of Sept. addressed by many of the works on display. Atlanta painter Katherine Taylor's 9' x 16' site-specific wall work Culvert is a point-in-case. They will field questions from the audience as they go,

Deluge features artists' explorations of our relationships with floods,
their aftermath, and the weather leading to them; it is a study in how
humanity reacts to the impacts of environmental forces beyond our control.
